And what better way to finish the year than hearing from someone who has taken a local idea, built it into an Australian design and manufacturing success story, and taken it to the world stage.
Mike grew up in the Moreton Bay region and has a strong connection to our local community. From his base in Brendale, he has spent more than two decades building Solar Bollard Lighting into a business with a global footprint, specialising in solar lighting, product design, manufacturing and international trade.
But Mike’s story is about much more than business success.
He is a passionate advocate for Australian manufacturing, sustainability and the incredible capability that exists right here in Moreton Bay.
Mike believes strongly in the power of local businesses supporting one another, developing local supply chains and creating opportunities for businesses in our region to compete globally.
His commitment to collaboration has seen him work alongside local manufacturers and industry partners, while championing initiatives that showcase the strength and capability of our region.
And perhaps most importantly, Mike is passionate about sharing what he has learned — with fellow business owners and the next generation of entrepreneurs, manufacturers and innovators.
At our final event for 2026, Mike will share his journey, his insights and his vision for what’s possible when we think locally, collaborate locally and compete globally.
Expect an inspiring conversation, plenty of insights and the opportunity to ask Mike your own questions.
🔥 If you’re in business in Moreton Bay, this is one you’ll want in your calendar!
Come along, grab a coffee, connect with other local business owners and help us finish the Pine Rivers Chamber year on a high.
