Hosted by the formidable Jacqueline Nagle (Any Given Tuesday), the panel comprises:

Mike Areni, Solar Bollard Lighting – Brendale’s Mike Areni fell in love with lighting as a punk guitarist and now runs a $2m business selling solar lights to over 41 countries. Last year he was the inaugural inductee into the Moreton Bay Business & Innovation Awards Hall of Fame for Exporting Excellence.

Ellie Bakker, Splice Marketing – Ellie founded her healthcare and medical marketing agency in 2017 and within 5 years was recognised as Moreton Bay’s Entrepreneur of the Year in 2022 and 2023. With average growth of 50-70% a year, her start-up in 2017 now employs over 20 people.

Shaun Reeves – Founding Director of SRJ Walker Wayland, accountants and business advisers, he has responsibility for start-ups, innovation and growth.  With its origins in Brendale, SRJ now employs over 70 people in Brisbane, Moreton Bay and the Sunshine Coast.  In 2023 Shaun launched his own start-up “Hip Hop Brewers”, a craft brewery and tap room in Brendale.
